Permanently Impermanent

This identity crisis is compounded by the perception of ineffective institutions, leaving individuals disoriented and without clear references. Enveloped in a decadent context, the “Homo consumens” becomes a slave to his passions, unable to truly commit to anything or anyone.

In the attempt to define themselves, modern individuals confuse authenticity with conformity, striving to be accepted into a social group but losing their uniqueness. These portraits explore the loneliness and disorientation of individuals in a system where nothing lasts forever and certainties have disappeared.

In a society where everything changes before it can become a habit, the individual cannot rely on anything stable. In this frenetic and unstable world, goods and skills can lose their value in an instant, and new opportunities quickly replace the old ones. Modern man has learned to live with this transience, avoiding fixation on things too solid that could limit future change.
